My Style of Illustration
I draw in Chibi Style, but I sometimes refer to them as CocoChibi or Chocolate Chibi because my characters often have
Afrocentric hairstyles and are brown like me but many of my illustrations are simple B&W.
Chibi, also known as super deformation, or S.D. is a style of caricature originating in Japan,
and common in anime and manga where characters are drawn in an exaggerated way, typically small
and chubby with stubby limbs, oversized heads, and minimal detail.

2. A storyboard, showing all the pages of your book with rough sketches and lines to show where the text will go (up to two rounds of revisions)

How much does this cost?
Below is a breakdown of my book illustration pricing.
Spot illustration –$35 per illustration
Small, character or object, simple illustrations to liven up a page with text.
Can be placed as a chapter heading, corner decoration, or next to/within a body of text
Half-page illustration – $75 per illustration
This is an illustration that fills half a page. While it can be detailed, because of its smaller size, the background will be less detailed than a full-page illustration. Up to two characters. Extra characters – $15 each.
Full-page illustration – $115 per illustration.
This is a full-page illustration where I pull out all the stops and include lots of detail! I can also leave space for your text if desired. Two characters. Detailed background. Extra characters – $15 each.
Spread illustration – $210 per illustration.
Spread across two full pages, normally with text on the illustration. While a mix of different illustration sizes makes a beautiful book, going all out and making your entire book double-page spreads will undoubtedly make it amazing! Two characters. Detailed background. Extra characters – $15 each.
Cover Design (using interior illustration) – $75 (Alternative Option Using a CUSTOM ILLUSTRATION - $275)
If you use an illustration from book interior, the price is only $75 for cover design. Front, back and spine designed. Title beautifully designed. All required text and graphics added. ISBN and barcode added. Includes paperback, hardcover formats. Set up for your chosen publishing platform(s).
Book Layout Design – $215
The last step is your interior book design. Here I lay out your illustrations and add all the text, choosing the perfect typography and colors. I can also create your front and back matter pages. (Up to 32 pages. An additional $5 per page after that). Full book layout. Print-ready files.
